Title: CUTINEMO - Carbon fiber laminates applied according to the near surface mounted technique to increase the flexural resistance to negative moments of continuous reinforced concrete structures

Description: Develop of a document based on experimental, analytical and numerical research that includes the necessary information to design a strengthening system based on the use of CFRP laminates, applied according to the NSM technique, for the increase of the resistant negative bending moment of continuous RC slabs and beams, taking into account the desired level of moment redistribution capacity, the characteristics of the existent reinforcement arrangement and the properties of the concrete. The formation of two scientists, one in the experimental research domain and the other in the analytical and computational mechanical domains are also important objectives. Technology transfer I&D-industry is also another objective. For this purpose a company will participate in the strengthening procedures of the RC structures to strength. The results obtained from this research will be available for eventual use in the ambit of the guidelines developed by fib TG 9.3.
